The commercial section of the United States Embassy to the Kingdom of Belgium regularly hosts students in International Trade from the EPHEC Business School for an internship.

Being a former international trade graduate student from EPHEC (2002) and having worked at the Embassy as Commercial Advisor for the past thirteen years, I always take great pleasure in hosting interns from the school. We find that their conscientious approach to their work, friendly attitude and willingness to assist in all our activities are always highly appreciated by our team. The students that have interned with us over the years have proven to be invaluable to our operations. We find them to be fully dedicated and multi-talented. EPHEC Interns and graduates generally demonstrate strong research, organizational, and language skills as well as a positive and cooperative attitude towards the challenges they can face. I personally believe these qualities will make them a true asset for any company or institution that will employ them in the future.

I have for 6 years now had the pleasure of teaching 3rd year students at EPHEC about the European Union and in particular about lobbying as a business representative in the EU.

As a daily lobbyist in the EU, it has been both rewarding and challenging to explain the EU and business lobbying to the students. The reward has in particular been to see how the students apply the skills they have already learned at EPHEC as business school students in their engagement in the study and practical use of lobbying. The offer from EPHEC is precisely to give the students the skills to protect and develop the interests of their businesses within the regulatory framework of the EU. This is a skill that is increasingly in demand and of value for private businesses, representative organisations and even public/semi-public authorities. The aim is therefore to ensure that the students have a practical, business-oriented approach to the lobbying and to understanding the European Union
